Sacramento’s own Strong just released a 7-song EP (via the fancy ass link above) that is one of the most laid back, euphoria inducing chillfests you’ll ever have. Swerve is damn good lyricist and a part of the same generation of greatness that the West Coast just seems to be shitting out nowadays. Every beat is superbly produced down to the last guitar lick and puts you in such a trance that by the time you realize Swerve is smacking you in the face with a flow that would make Kendrick blush, you’re already passed out high on the couch like you spent all day taking deep breaths at a Grateful Dead show. And the two features in his usual rhyme partner SYG and super-underrated producer Ridla just round out the project perfectly in the way that only a crew with good chemistry can. Wake the kids up for this one folks, just make sure they all put five on it.
